Mornings

Catching up on overnight updates from Asia: bookings, vessel schedules, tracking and any shipments that needed rebooking, of which the 2021–22 capacity crisis brought plenty. Then working with carriers to secure space and keep freight moving for my 70 client accounts.

Afternoons

Client calls and escalations, and coordinating customs clearance and documentation with our customs teams and bonded warehouses in Asia and Europe. Time left over went into writing the standardized SOPs that later halved onboarding time.

Out on site, overseeing installation and construction work and carrying out quality inspections.

Afternoons

Planning material deliveries to the sites, and meeting suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders to keep deliveries in step with construction.

Supply Chain Analyst – Control Tower Project

Mornings

Process-mapping sessions with teams from the 20 sites in scope, walking through how each one handled shipment scheduling, tracking and carrier coordination, and documenting every step.

Afternoons

Comparing the maps across sites to find where workflows differed and where that cost time or money, then designing standardized workflows and reviewing them with the control tower team.

Mornings

I start with a look back at the previous day's automation numbers and files, then handle any orders the automation missed because of errors or internal blocks. Next come emails with internal and external stakeholders, and I round off the morning analyzing weekly and monthly volumes for forecasting.

Afternoons

SAP key user work: diagnosing and fixing master data and process-related issues for the logistics team.
